Tour description

A signature Marrakech loop blending Atlas passes, southern kasbahs and the Erg Chebbi dunes for riders who want a richer Royal Enfield journey with stronger scenery, stronger identity and a true sense of travel.

This grand crossing is designed as a more desirable and more complete evolution of the original Atlas route. It starts in Marrakech, climbs into the High Atlas, follows the historic Telouet and Ounila Valley line, then drops toward Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate before opening the door to Morocco's pre-Saharan horizons.

What makes the trip stronger is its progression: mountain passes, Berber villages, earthen kasbah architecture, southern palm valleys, then a proper desert arrival at Erg Chebbi for the kind of sunset stage riders remember long after the trip ends. The return through the Draa Valley adds yet another riding mood, broader, brighter and distinctly southern.

The pace remains well matched to the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: rewarding daily mileage, mostly scenic paved roads, optional easy gravel depending on group level, and enough time to enjoy the stops that matter. This is not a mileage exercise. It is a Morocco ride built to leave a stronger memory every day.

Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech - Tizi n Tichka - Telouet - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate

Departure from Marrakech into the High Atlas. The road climbs toward Tizi n Tichka, then follows the historic Telouet and Ounila Valley route before reaching Ait Ben Haddou, one of southern Morocco's landmark ksars, and finishing in Ouarzazate.

Day 2: Ouarzazate - Skoura - Dades Valley

A day focused on kasbah scenery, palms and southern light. The route keeps building visual variety before arriving in the Dades area for a more mineral and mountain-focused atmosphere.

Day 3: Dades Valley - pre-Saharan plateaus - Merzouga

The landscapes open up as the route heads toward the south-east. This stage reaches Merzouga and Erg Chebbi in time for the sunset mood that makes the desert such a strong highlight of a Morocco ride.

Day 4: Merzouga - Alnif - Nkob - Draa Valley - Agdz

After the dunes, the return leg changes tone completely: wide horizons, southern villages and the long ribbon of the Draa Valley. It is one of the stages that gives this route a real journey feel rather than a simple out-and-back tour.

Day 5: Agdz - Ouarzazate - High Atlas - Marrakech

Final ride back to Marrakech through the Atlas. It closes the loop with the same contrast that defines the whole trip: mountain passes, earthen heritage, southern valleys and desert gateways.
