General Rental Terms and Conditions - Motorcycle Rental in Morocco
Last updated: 6 October 2026
Welcome to our motorcycle rental website in Morocco. Before using our services, please read the general rental terms and conditions below carefully. By booking or using our services, you accept these terms and conditions.
1. Insurance and liability
Theft insurance: Theft insurance is included in our basic insurance package. It covers theft of the motorcycle during the rental period, provided that basic security requirements are met (such as locking the motorcycle, using parking facilities, etc.).
Damage insurance: Damage insurance includes an excess equal to the security deposit. For ordinary damage caused by the renter, their liability is limited to this amount. However, if the renter is found fully responsible for serious damage caused by reckless driving or failure to comply with traffic regulations, they must pay the full cost of repairs.
Rider: Rider insurance is included in our basic insurance package. Additional travel insurance taken out by the renter is recommended.
Fire insurance: Fire insurance is included in our basic insurance package.
CDW option: OXBikers offers a CDW option at €30 per day. When purchased, this option limits the customer’s financial liability for damage to the motorcycle to the agreed security deposit (or excess). It is not comprehensive insurance without an excess. Exclusions still apply, particularly in cases of negligence, inappropriate use of the motorcycle, riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs, riding by an unauthorised person, loss of keys, misuse of the clutch, or riding in prohibited areas such as dunes or beaches.
Insurance does not cover:
- Riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Damage caused by reckless driving or failure to comply with traffic regulations.
- Motorcycles damaged through unauthorised activities (for example, riding on unsuitable terrain, competitions, etc.).
2. Renter’s obligations
- The renter must hold a valid driving licence appropriate for the type of motorcycle rented, be at least 21 years old, and have at least 2 years of motorcycle riding experience.
- The renter agrees to use the motorcycle for its intended purpose and comply with Moroccan traffic regulations.
- The motorcycle must be returned to the agency in the same condition as at departure, with no damage other than normal wear and tear.
- The renter agrees to respect the total mileage allowance for the rental period, calculated as the number of rental days multiplied by 300 km. Additional mileage is charged at 2 DH per kilometre.
- The renter is responsible for any repairs required as a result of negligence.
- The renter agrees to return the motorcycle at the end of the rental period with the same fuel level as at departure, unless otherwise specified.
- The renter agrees to maintain the motorcycle during the rental period, ensuring its proper operation and safety.
- The renter must not modify the motorcycle or carry out repairs without the rental agency’s authorisation.
- The renter must not lend the motorcycle to unauthorised third parties. Only the renter or drivers specified in the contract may ride it, if authorised.
- The renter expressly agrees not to ride the vehicle on beaches, dunes or any other sandy areas, and to avoid any use that could damage the vehicle due to sand.
3. Payment terms
- The renter agrees to pay the full rental amount when signing the contract or at the start of the rental period.
- A security deposit is required and will be refunded to the renter at the end of the rental period, subject to the condition of the motorcycle.
- The renter is responsible for paying for the motorcycle rental and any additional costs (for example, fuel charges, fines, repairs, etc.).
- Late return charges may apply if the motorcycle is not returned at the agreed time or on the agreed date.
4. Theft and accidents
- In the event of theft, the renter must immediately notify the authorities and provide the agency with a copy of the police report.
- In the event of an accident, the renter must complete an agreed accident report and immediately notify the agency and the competent authorities.
5. Changes and cancellations
- To receive a full refund in the event of cancellation, the renter must notify the agency at least 30 days before the rental start date.
- If the rental duration changes, the price may be adjusted according to the applicable rate.
- If the motorcycle is returned early or the rental is interrupted at the customer’s initiative, unused rental days are non-refundable.
- In the event of force majeure or a legitimate reason (accident, illness or force majeure), the renter must provide supporting documentation. The rental provider may then, at its sole discretion, offer a partial refund proportional to the unused rental period, credit towards a future rental, or no refund, in accordance with the general terms and conditions.
6. Breakdown and assistance
In the event of a breakdown, we offer various forms of assistance to help you resolve the problem.
- For minor problems (puncture, running out of fuel, etc.), our telephone service is available 7 days a week and provides useful contacts.
- Roadside assistance insurance includes towing the motorcycle to a nearby repair workshop or to the rental location. This service costs €30 per day and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Mechanical support: If the breakdown is not attributable to the renter and the motorcycle cannot be repaired quickly, we offer a replacement motorcycle of a similar category the following morning, subject to feasibility and distance. If no replacement motorcycle is available, a refund proportional to the remaining rental period will be issued.
- Our assistance services cover only areas served by paved roads that are freely accessible to assistance vehicles.
- The renter must not attempt repairs without the rental provider’s consent.
7. Suitcase storage
Only completely empty suitcases are accepted for storage at OXBikers premises. The renter must remove all items and personal belongings before leaving them. OXBikers accepts no liability for the loss, theft or damage of any contents left in the suitcases.
8. Disputes
In the event of a dispute, and after an unsuccessful attempt at an amicable resolution, the parties agree to submit the dispute to the competent court in Marrakech, Morocco.
