Most routes combine paved roads with rougher secondary sections. Selected legal tracks may be considered only when motorcycle, weather and rider experience are suitable.
Fuel stations become less frequent away from larger towns. Plan range, water and daylight carefully, and keep luggage compact for repeated mountain bends.
Himalayan 450 and CFMOTO 450MT favour easier handling. Tenere 700, V-Strom 800DE and BMW GS provide more touring comfort for experienced riders and longer stages.
