Tour description
A 7-day one-way motorcycle traverse from Fes to Marrakech via the Middle Atlas, Ziz Valley, Merzouga, pre-Saharan tracks and the High Atlas.
This seven-day one-way traverse connects Fes and Marrakech through the Middle Atlas and pre-Saharan landscapes. The route passes Ifrane, Midelt, the Ziz Valley and Merzouga, then continues through Ouzina, M’Hamid, Chegaga, Lake Iriki, Foum Zguid and Aït Ben Haddou before reaching Marrakech.
The journey is approximately 1,650 km with around 40% piste on the confirmed variant. It suits riders with previous trail experience and confidence on long stages. Desert sand and track sections depend on weather, ground conditions and group ability; dunes and prohibited areas are excluded.

Itinerary
Day 1 — Fes to Midelt
Leave Fes via Ifrane and Azrou, then cross the Middle Atlas toward Midelt. A high-road warm-up stage. Suggested accommodation, subject to availability.
Day 2 — Midelt to Merzouga
Ride toward Errachidia and the Ziz Valley before Erfoud and Merzouga. Landscapes shift from high plateaus to pre-Saharan palms. Suggested accommodation.
Day 3 — Merzouga to Ouzina
Reach Ouzina via authorized regional tracks selected for terrain and group ability. Sandy sections remain condition-dependent. Suggested accommodation.
Day 4 — Ouzina to M’Hamid
Follow pre-Saharan routes toward M’Hamid, choosing variants to suit conditions. Suggested accommodation.
Day 5 — M’Hamid, Chegaga, Lake Iriki and Foum Zguid
The signature stage follows validated desert tracks through Erg Chegaga and Lake Iriki to Foum Zguid. No dune crossing without specific validation and supervision.
Day 6 — Foum Zguid to Aït Ben Haddou
Leave the desert region for Taznakht and Aït Ben Haddou on roads and selected tracks according to conditions. Suggested accommodation.
Day 7 — Aït Ben Haddou to Marrakech
Return to Marrakech across the High Atlas. Traverse ends and motorcycle is returned.
